INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM OF BAROQUE / TEATRO BARROCO

Format: Opera / Theatre in film
Country: Mexico
Client: MUSEO INTERNACIONAL DEL BARROCO
Challenge: One of our most beloved projects was to adapt, produce and film 3 of the most famous baroque european plays from different countries : Hamlet by William Shakespeare (England), The Imaginary Patient by Moliere (France) and Fuente Ovejuna by Lope de Vega (Spain). We worked together with the incredible team of INBA (Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes) to do an exhaustive research on how plays were made in their original presentations. For that, we had the honor of being able to shoot inside one of the three remaining  original “Teatros de Corral” in the world originally built in 1605 near Puebla, Mexico. So we had the real baroque experience.  Also, we filmed an Opera based on the backstage stories and gossip of Haendel´s Divas, which was fun and educating at the same time.
